Watercolor on Paper 22" x 28" The Swiss Brown cows at Shelburne Farms on Lake Champlain produce some of Vermont’s best cheddar cheese. I was honored to be an artist-in-residence at the farm in the past and continue to teach a weeklong workshop there every summer. Frederick Law Olmsted, the noted landscape architect who laid out New York City’s Central Park designed the 3,800 acres of farmland at Shelburne.

Watercolor on Paper 14" x 20" Situated along the Passagassawakeag River and Penobscot Bay is Belfast, Maine. It’s a trendy town noted for its art galleries, restaurants and microbreweries. It has a long shipbuilding history and today you’ll see all kinds of boats including commercial fishing vessels, schooners, ketches, cats and small sloops.

Watercolor on Paper 14" x 20" This painting was created from a Plein Air sketch that I did on location in the picturesque village of Cutler, Maine. My family and I frequently vacation “downeast” along the Bold Coast, where we hike and enjoy the region’s natural beauty. Culter harbor in fog with its working boats and piers is a quintessential Maine scene and a preferred subject of mine.
