Lake Champlain Watercolor Workshop (in partnership with Shelburne Craft School)

Tue, Mar 10th, 2015

"Dr. Webb has purchased 1700 acres on the lakeshore and if justice is done to the situation and conditions it will without doubt be one of the most important and beautiful country places in America." - Robert Robertson to Frederick Law Olmsted, June 17, 1886 (as quoted from the book, The History of Shelburne Farms)

Shelburne Farms is truly an inspirational place! Located on Lake Champlain in scenic Shelburne, Vermont, it has over 1,400 acres of land which is devoted to sustainable farming and education. The landscape is beautifully forested with barns and buildings and is designated a National Historic Landmark. For the past several years, I have been privileged to be an artist-in-residence. Each summer, I lead a workshop where we enjoy five days of watercoloring, good food (produced and prepared right from the farm) and new friends! Here are a few photographs from last year's experience.

Once again, I'll be offering this unique opportunity for artists of all levels. The workshop will begin on Monday, June 1, 2015 and conclude on Friday, June 5, 2015. Tuition is $675 (rooms at The Inn at Shelburne Farms are available at a 30% discount off regular room rates).
