Come Join Me on a Watercolor Workshop

"Harpignies loved - as Corot also did - the early morning. Up at four o'clock in summer, by five he would be throwing stones at his pupils' windows while calling out, "Come along; it's almost over!" And he lived to be nearly a hundred years old, loving nature and art with enthusiasm to the last. I have known several landscape painters in France, old men of the same stamp. Up before anyone else, they would be away to their work with heavy packs on their shoulders, singing as they went. And that is the spirit in which to study nature with joy in your heart."
- Adrian Stokes from his book Landscape Painting

In the enthusiastic fashion of Harpignies and Corot - why not consider joining me this summer on one of my outdoor watercolor workshops? A trip to a beautiful location does wonders for your spirit and helps you make great strides as an artist. Let your vacation include doing what you love. Allow it to be something you've always dreamed of doing. In past plein air painting trips, many participants have told me the experience made them a more confident painter. It's a great way to learn and make rapid progress in your artistic journey. If you've never painted on location before, don't let that hold you back - you've got to start sometime!

I am offering two trips this summer; a three-day workshop in Central Park, New York, August 15th - 17th and a five-day workshop in beautiful Shelburne, Vermont, August 20th - 24th. I will be giving daily demonstrations and guidance on how to approach plein air painting, after which you'll have an opportunity to paint. I will be available all day for individual instruction and guidance.

For more information and to enroll in either workshop click here.

Or if you prefer to send a deposit and enroll by regular mail, you may download a brochure by clicking here.

With "not so" heavy packs on our shoulders, singing as we go and with joy in our hearts, join me on location as we grow in our art and appreciate nature!
